Video Guest Book is published by Angry Chimp Productions. The app records on the host’s iPad, without guest accounts or a developer-operated video cloud.
Events and recordings
Event names, dates, prompts, appearance settings, optional background images and local purchase entitlement information stay in the app’s storage on the device. Camera video and microphone audio are captured after the person using the iPad chooses to record. The app does not upload guest videos or event details to a developer-operated server.
Completed messages are kept as local originals and copied to Photos using add-only permission. That permission lets the app add recordings without browsing unrelated photos or videos. If the host chooses a background image, Apple’s system photo picker supplies the selected copy.
Photos, iCloud and deletion
Photos copies may sync through the host’s own Apple or iCloud settings. Removing the app removes its local event data and originals, but does not remove copies already stored in Photos. Check every important recording and keep your own backups before deleting data or removing the app.
Purchases
Apple and RevenueCat process the Lifetime Unlock purchase and restoration. The app receives product identifiers, Apple’s local price and entitlement status. RevenueCat uses an anonymous app user identifier and purchase history for purchase validation, app operation and aggregate purchase reporting. Video Guest Book does not receive or store payment-card details.

Your controls
You can change Camera, Microphone and Photos access in iPad Settings. Camera and Microphone access are needed for recording. Correct Photos access before relying on automatic copying. The host is responsible for informing guests and obtaining any consent needed to record them.
The app has no advertising SDK, custom behavioural analytics, location collection or contacts access. An optional thank-you QR contains only the configured public product landing-page URL, not an event link, recording, credential or recovery code.
This website
This website does not accept guest recordings, ask for camera or microphone access, or provide an account system. We have not added advertising or analytics cookies. Vercel hosts the site and may process ordinary request and security logs under its privacy policy. App Store links take you to Apple’s website or app.
